IMPORTANT:

Before installing or upgrading to Campaign Manager 6.5.8, please ensure that you have read the Installation or Upgrade Guide, which can be downloaded here.

Upgrade to Campaign Manager 6.5.8 requires Campaign Manager 5.1 or later to be installed, if you are on an earlier version, please refer to the relevant upgrade documents.

After install of CM 6.5.6 or later, it is strongly recommenced that table links with [historyId] on both sides of the link, within the Campaign History, should be dropped and re-created at the end of the upgrade process.

NOTE: For Alterian Hosted Clients, this will be done in the upgrade maintenance window. For full information, see details in the fixes section below.

New Features

No new features have been introduced for Campaign Manageras part of this release. 

Any enhancements present have been developed for the Alterian Real-Time CX Platform, and as such are not used by Campaign Manager

CM 6.5.7- The following fixes are provided.

ASD-36411 A fix to an issue where, when using Grid Campaign N per X with Pass-On in 'Campaign Mode, it is possible for a small number of records from outside the audience, to be included.

 

CM 6.5.6- The following fixes are provided.

ASD-36241

An issue has been identified with some incorrectly linked contact and response records on systems with intra-day history appends. The problem is specific to the BTREE indexing (IndexLevel=2) used on the primary key for these links and should not affect links using a traditionally indexed (IndexLevel=1) primary key column.

A fix is included in this release to ensure that any new links are no longer subject to this issue.

 

IMPORTANT - Post Update Action Required

As a precaution, we would strongly recommend the dropping and rebuilding any existing history table links as part of the upgrade maintenance window. These Links can be easily identified as those for which an Alterian “HistoryId” column constitutes both the primary and foreign key.

For Alterian Hosted Clients, this process will be carried out as part of your scheduled upgrade maintenance Window for CM 6.5.6.

For on-premise Clients, please ensure this task is performed immediately following the completion of the upgrade to CM 6.5.6
ASD-36281 Fix to the Radial tool when the Location search was failing to return a result for the radial centre point.

Fix to allow Record Viewer columns to be re-sized
INTERNAL Fix to ensure the Date Query operators work correctly in respect to leap years.

 

 

CM 6.5.4- The following fixes are provided.

ASD-33649

Campaign Designer gives incorrect campaign validation errors when searched for columns are used in the Email Tactic.

NOTE: This fix addressees issues where the validation failure occurs on columns that has been searched for and selected on the default Campaign Key table only. Any browsed to other tables may still cause a validation errors after searching or a column. This will be fixed in a future release.

 

CM 6.5.2- The following fixes are provided.

ASD-31856 A fix for a slow data load issue related to memory management changes in Microsoft in 2016 and 2019 Server
Internal-5137 A fix to an issue when use of the CM API was retuning Access Denied to valid users over https

 

CM 6.5.1- The following fixes are provided.

ASD-29793 Fix to Campaign Manager when, at random times , a white screen displays when refreshing.
ASD-26288 Documentation error on RaiseCampaignEvent API.
Internal-1450 Fix to Engine to address failures of Dynamic Columns using _TODAY to re-calculate after a date change under certain circumstances

Fix to improve Engine Random function, to avoid potential repeating of values.

Important Note on Upgrade:

  • Any Seeded “Repeatable” randoms will not select the “Seeded” rows immediately after the upgrade. After upgrade it will return to a repeated group. Ransoms are already lost after data load so impact should be very minimal.
ASD-27656 Fix to Campaign Manager where Email Creatives in Campaign Manager appear out of sync with the creative from Email Manager, meaning the correct variables are not being displayed.

Known Issues

The following list provides detailed information on the limitations and known issues associated with this software release. While Alterian consider it important to highlight these issues, they were not deemed serious enough to delay release. These issues will be prioritized for resolution in a future release of Campaign Manager.

Campaign Manager

  • Repeatedly saving templates based on other templates can cause an application crash and should be avoided. Best practice is to only ever save a new document as a template.

Campaign Designer

  • When using the Number Days Before & Number Days after Date Query Operators, using a negative number will return zero. In a future release this will report an error in the UI.
  • When using the Days to Anniversary From & Days Since Anniversary From Date Query Operators, using a negative number will return zero. In a future release this will report an error in the UI.
  • Due to the anniversary nature of these queries, these will not return records when querying over 364 days. Previous queries with dates greater than 364 now return zero. This will be restricted in the UI in a future release
  • If repeatedly using document transfer to transfer new Campaign Designer campaigns that contain Master Segments in their audience, only the campaigns in the first export will reference the Master Segment. To resolve this, the Master Segment will need to be re-selected in the Audience.
  • Connectors overlap when a negative and positive from an Event connection, return to the same element.
  • Performance of the Set variable element is slow in IE when using 20+ variables.
  • Campaigns with a high volume of If Branch (10+) elements that all contain segments, may be slow to open and validate.

Campaign View

  • Next Touch Date is showing the wrong time after day light savings has been applied.

Engine ROW LEVEL SECURITY

  • Systems utilizing Engine row level security may experience overall performance degradation when performing queries against the database. Any issues should be reported to Alterian Support using the link below .
