Alterian are proud to announce the release of Campaign Manager 6.2. With the release, Alterian continue our journey to provide a new user experience relevant to the Digital Marketer and Data Analyst personas, as well as performance, scale and stability improvements across the whole ChameleonTM Suite.

This release adds some great new functionality for users of our Campaign Designer application including the ability to execute Omni Channel campaign activity and an Email Preview function in the Email element.

In addition, Campaign Manager 6.2 sees the introduction of our new Insights application with the initial scope of a classic Venn Diagram visualization.

There are also enhancements to the Segments application to support nested groups and Exclude group logic.

The new Opportunity Grid provides a single interface that shows the various activities going towards business goals be they traditional multi-channel campaigns or web speed activities driven by fast and slow data.

IMPORTANT:

Before installing or upgrading to Campaign Manager 6.2, please ensure that you have read the Installation or Upgrade Guide.

Upgrade to Campaign Manager 6.2 requires Campaign Manager 5.1 or later to be installed, if you are on an earlier version, please refer to the relevant upgrade documents.

New Features

Insights

New for Campaign Manager 6.2 the Insights application provides Alterian Marketers with an introduction to building out powerful Insight and Data Visualization functionality. The initial release contains the framework for building visualization starting with the Venn Diagram builder, allowing creation of Venn Diagram and Venn Grid visualizations using existing segments from the Segments application or creating new within the already familiar Segments user interface embedded in the Venn Builder. Venn intersections can be extracted and saved as new segments to provide actionable analytics in seconds. Insights are managed and accessed using the Insight View screen with a document explorer view and searchable content.

 

Campaign Designer - External Agents and omni-tactics

Building on the initial Campaign Designer release of Campaign Manager 6.0, we now provide support for Omni Channel campaign execution via our Digital Markter UI. Easy integration into a multitude of 3rd party systems within Campaign Designer allows the Alterian marketer greater execution flexibility within the intuitive ease of use, of the Campaign Designer UI.

 

Campaign Designer - Email preview

Enhancing existing Email element in Campaign Designer, this feature allows preview of rendered email content, based on real data from the campaign, prior to live execution. Proof mode variable values into the email creatives quickly and easily for fast creative validation during campaign design.

 

OPPORTUNITY GRID

A single interface that shows the various activities going towards business goals be they traditional multi-channel campaigns or web speed activities driven by fast and slow data.

Enhancements

Segments

The on-going enhancements of Segments sees support for nested group logic as well as Exclude groups to support exaction of intersections from Venn Insights for actionable analytics.

Fixes

Features No Longer Supported

Campaign Manager 6.2 is not compatible with Email Response Importer (ERI).

Known Issues

The following list provides detailed information on the limitations and known issues associated with this software release. While Alterian consider it important to highlight these issues, they were not deemed serious enough to delay release. These issues will be prioritized for resolution in a future release of Campaign Manager.

Campaign Manager

  • Repeatedly saving templates based on other templates can cause an application crash and should be avoided. Best practice is to only ever save a new document as a template.

Campaign Designer

  • If repeatedly using document transfer to transfer new Campaign Designer campaigns that contain Master Segments in their audience, only the campaigns in the first export will reference the Master Segment. To resolve this, the Master Segment will need to be re-selected in the Audience.
  • Connectors overlap when a negative and positive from an Event connection, return to the same element.
  • Performance of the Set variable element is slow in IE when using 20+ variables.
  • Campaigns with a high volume of If Branch (10+) elements that all contain segments, may be slow to open and validate.

Campaign View

  • Next Touch Date is showing the wrong time after day light savings has been applied.

Engine ROW LEVEL SECURITY

  • Systems utilizing Engine row level security may experience overall performance degradation when performing queries against the database. Any issues should be reported to Alterian Support using the link below .
