Campaign Manager - Campaign Manager (Silverlight)

Tactics

A tactic is a marketing action that takes place as part of a campaign, for example the creation of an output file or the sending of an email.

Tactics have associated creatives, which are the media assets linked with the tactic, for example the content of an email or mail shot. Once set up, tactics can be templatized and re-used across multiple campaigns by multiple users.

The tactic model is both flexible and powerful - a campaign can include one or many tactics, which can be implemented at different stages of a campaign via multiple channels. For example, your first tactic could be the creation of an output file of recipients for an initial mail shot, your second tactic could be a reminder email, and your third tactic could be an offer email triggered by any responses to the initial mailings. Tactics can be repeated as many times as is required, and can be amended as a campaign matures and response data is captured and analyzed. For example, the creative content of an email tactic can be fine tuned where response analysis identifies that recipients respond better to certain pictures and arrangement of content.
