Campaign Manager - Campaign Manager (Silverlight)
After a PeriodUse the After a Period tool when setting up Tracks to delay the implementation of a tactic or action by a specified unit of time, which could be anything from seconds to years. The period relates to each individual recipient in the track, and will start from when they first enter the track. So in the example below, a reminder email will be sent to each recipient exactly two weeks after they enter the track. This tool is key when creating dynamic time-sensitive campaigns that measure recipient response, and respond accordingly. For example, you could use the tool in conjunction with AB testing to measure responsiveness to a number of email creatives sent to a test sample of recipients. Using After a Period you could count email open events five minutes after deployment and then send the most successful creative to the remainder of the recipients in the segment. Procedure
Time item tools uses Polling to control how often the campaign checks for new actions to perform. Configure Polling on the Attributes tab displayed above the ribbon bar. Time item tools include: Do Immediately, After a Period, On a Date and On a Schedule. |
