Implementing Campaign Manager - External Integrations

External Agent Permissions

External Agent Permissions can be applied to all Users and User Groups within the system.

Note:

If permissions are set at User Group level, they will apply to all Users within that User Group unless individually specified.

The following permissions can be set:

Modify External Agent

Allows a User to make changes to the External Agent. It is recommended that this permission is only accessible to System Administrators, due to the effect on running Campaigns that modifying an Agent that is in use can have.

View external agent

Allows Users to be able to select this Agent, and therefore the Kettle script associated with it, when creating Campaigns.

View Permissions

Open the External Agents screen.

Select the External Agent you wish to set the permissions against in the left hand panel to display its details in the right hand panel.

In the right hand panel, select the Permissions tab:

Expand the folders and select a User or User Group to view the Permissions:

There are two options that can be set against permissions:

Inherit The setting for the permission is inherited from the parent entity i.e. a User inherits their setting from the User Group.
Allowed The permission is set at the currently selected level e.g. the User or User Group is given the permission directly.

The icon indicates the permission is allowed, the icon indicates the permission is denied.

Set Permissions

Click the Edit button to place the screen into edit mode:

Tick or untick the required option against the required permissions.

Click Save.
