Selecting N Records From Every Distinct Value Of X

Use this option to return one record (N) per distinct value of X, without applying any filtering to the records returned.

For example to a return one household regardless of how many customers reside at that address.

1. On N per X select the relevant option, for example One per Household ID from the Customer table.

The first record for each Household by table order as default will be selected.

  • Selecting N records from every distinct value of X
  • Selecting N records from every distinct value of X using the greater value of a Sort Column
  • Select lesser values of an N record from every distinct value of X
