Profile Rule Export Tool

Use the Profile Rule Export tool to perform integration between Campaign Manager and the SDL Tridion Content Management system. This tool is aimed at analysts who have a pre-configured web data feed from SDL Tridion.

Web Data streams can be received from the SDL Tridion's Ambient Data Framework (ADF) via a streamer cartridge, and can be loaded into Engine, allowing the Customer Analytics tools in Campaign Manager to analyze that Web Data. The analytics carried out could provide significant insight into web behavior and potentially create visitor behavior profiles. These profiles may then be used to trigger on, within the Content Management system, to display a 'call to action' to the visitor or simply a helpful guidance message.

The Profile Rule Export tool allows users to export the syntax or definition of the segment document in Campaign Manager based on Web Data analytics, to a text format, for transfer to the Target Groups component of Tridion. This allows targeted and personalized content to be delivered to a web visitor should that behavior profile be triggered with Tridion Target Groups.

When used in a segment document, there are actually three currently available external connections (Audit, Tridion, and Kettle), although the focus is very much on integration with SDL Tridion.
