N Row Sample Tool

Use the N Row Sample tool to reduce the size of a segment by performing a contiguous sample operation, that is, by taking a set number of adjacent records from the Top, Middle, or Bottom of the record set.

For example:

The tool would usually be used in conjunction with a Sort Segment operation to control what records are selected.
