Importing a Document Pack
Procedure
- Click the
Admin Tool.
- Select
Document Admin.
- Click the
Import button.
The folder structure from the Document Manager is displayed. Select the destination folder for the report pack. Alternatively new folders can be created or an existing folder renamed from this dialog. Note that the report pack being imported will include the folder structure that the reports were stored. The folder structure is automatically created on import in the folder selected, provided that the Inherit folder structure on import check box is selected.
- Select the file to import.
- Clicking the
OK button prompts you to select the document file to import.
- Clicking the Select file button will display an explorer dialog where you can locate and select the Document Package file that you wish to import. These files have the extension .alp.
- Select and click
Open.
- The Imports Document dialog will display a list of the reports that the selected pack contains in the folder structure retrieved from the original document store. Click
Next to continue, or
Back to change the folder location.
- The
Datasource Mappings dialog displays details of the datasource that you are importing from on the left, that can be matched up with the receiving Project and server name on the right. If the project does not exist on the destination server then it will be flagged as not mapped and the documents will not be imported, unless manually mapped to another project. Click
Next to continue, or
Back to select a different file to import.
- The
Database Mappings dialog, displays a list of databases associated with the datasources from the previous dialog on the left, and a list of available datasources which can make to, on the right. Amy unmapped items from the previous dialog will still be listed but will have no available datasources listed for mapping.
- Click
Next to perform the import.
