Creating Segments
Create a Segment from the
Campaign Central homepage, drag fields and/or values onto the segment to provide a quick count, and use tools and reports to perform analysis.
Procedure
- Create a Segment:
- Either - On the Campaign Central home page, click
Identify a Segment;
- Or - From the ribbon bar, select
.
- Name the Segment:
- Click the Document Information icon
- Enter the name in the
Name field.
- Enter a description, if required.
- Click
Apply Changes.
- Segments can also be scheduled to run on a particular date and or time.
- Drag fields on the segment to perform data analysis:
- Select the field by clicking on it.
- Drag the field onto the segment.
- Use one of the available operators to return results (if you do not filter your data, all records within the system are returned).
You can also specify the value before dragging that value onto the segment using a
Column Helper.
- Click
Run to return records.
- Add the following types of tools to a segment:
- Data Engineering
- Dashboards
- Import/Export
- Segment
- Query Form
- Change the resolution level of a segment (by default, the resolution level is set by the table the first column used on a segment is taken from):
- Click the
in the filter section
- Click in the
Resolution Level field, and select a table from the menu that appears.
