Consumer Mode

Consumers read messages from the queue or exchange.

When the transformation starts, the plugin will connect to the specified exchange or queue and start reading messages.

In consumer mode the step will not read any input from other Kettle steps, and so it should be the first step in any transformation, for example:

The Ack immediately option is used together with the Acknowledge mode, to provide additional message reliability. You should use ‘Acknowledge immediately’ unless you have specific reliability requirements.
