Implementing Campaign Manager - External Integrations

Acknowledge Mode

Acknowledge mode redelivers unacknowledged messages.

If you require high reliability but have unreliable steps, then an example transformation might be:

If the middle step fails then the transformation will stop.

When the transformation restarts then the message queue will redeliver to the consumer step any messages which never made it to the acknowledge step.

This happens automatically when Kettle is restarted – the messages ‘queue up’.

A consumer node that does not ack immediately will add 2 columns to the output – ‘deliverytag’ and ‘channel’. The acknowledge node must have the delivery tag selected, so that it knows which message to acknowledge.
